    Meet Derek! He is our Taijiquan & Qigong instructo Meet Derek! He is our Taijiquan & Qigong instructor. His Monday 6pm class is open to the public and is an integral part of our 2-year Diploma of Acupuncture. Students spend their entire first year studying Yang-family Taijiquan in the tradition of Sifu Paul McCaughey and Grandmaster Lee Shiu Pak. The skills and abilities that emerge out of this Taiji practice are a vital part of an acupuncturist's lifelong development. We learn how to move efficiently and comfortably, how to get the mind out of the way by settling it in the body, how to let the body's ancient wisdom guide us, how to let go of controlling things, how to do less, how to interact naturally with our surroundings, and so much more.
